    Sealing profiles which are painted over or used for renovation purposes must always be tested for their compatibility with the lacquer.

    Irrespective of the specifications for paint compatibility, testing should always be carried out.

    When complying with the stipulated drying cycles, the compatibility is given for following coating systems:

     

    Sealing profiles made from modified elastic polymer (PVC)

    Sealing profiles made from thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) or cross-linked silicon

    • Alkyd resin varnishes and lacquers
    • Polyurethane lacquers (DD lacquers)
    • 2-component epoxy resin lacquers
    • Acid hardening lacquers, where the PVC resistance is
    • specified by the manufacturer
    • Chemically cross-linked enamel
    • Alkyd resin varnishes and lacquers
    • Polyurethane lacquers (DD lacquers)
    • 2-component epoxy resin lacquers
    • Acid hardening lacquers
    • Chemically cross-linked enamel
    • Nitrocellulose lacquers
    • Solvent-based or water-based acrylic varnishes and lacquers

    Not suitable for coating are following:

    • Nitrocellulose lacquers
    • Solvent-based or water
    • thinnable acrylic varnishes and lacquers
    • PVC lacquers

  • Rebate seals installation types

    • Installation types

    Rebate seals for room doors are mounted in the groove of the frame or door.

    Depending on the version, the bottom part of the seal is inserted directly into the groove (fig. 1) or the seal must be fitted with a carrier (fig. 2). Rebate seals for front doors are fitted in the door (fig. 3).
