Logistics excellence from Nagold for the world
Häfele inaugurates new, fully automated high-bay warehouse

Nagold - June 30, 2022. Häfele opened its fourth new high-bay warehouse at the logistics center in Nagold with a ceremonial christening in front of guests from politics and businesses. This investment in the headquarters in the northern Black Forest represents an important milestone in the innovation and service strategy of the family-owned company. More space for new services and product ranges as well as state-of-the-art processes enable Häfele to supply customers around the world with furniture and construction fittings, electronic locking systems and lighting solutions faster and more reliably than ever.

Investment with courage and foresight
Häfele company director Sibylle Thierer welcomed the guests of honor to the festive inauguration ceremony, the mayor of Nagold, Jürgen Großmann, and the general manager of the Northern Black Forest Chamber of Industry and Commerce, Tanja Traub. Both congratulated Häfele on the investment and successful growth. Jürgen Großmann summarized the event with the statement, "Häfele is building the future.” As the "backbone of the economy," Tanja Traub said, "companies like Häfele successfully led their business from the Northern Black Forest to the entire world."

In her speech, Sibylle Thierer addressed the ongoing modernization and constant expansion of the mail order center. Now, up to 6,000 shipments are sent from Nagold to all corners of the world every day. "However, we are not stopping at these figures, we want to invest energetically and with a forward-looking entrepreneurial spirit in the future and in our headquarters in the northern Black Forest."

Technology and logistics excellence for partners worldwide
Space for 15,000 additional Euro pallets expand the total capacity to 65,000 pallet spaces. Seven fully automatic storage and retrieval machines move the pallets. These machines transfer the goods to a rail-guided electrode conveyor, another technical innovation. The state-of-the-art picking workstations provide employees with the best possible support for ergonomics and processes and help to get deliveries to Häfele partners around the world quickly.

The current investment project of around 20 million euros also offers a taste of the further expansion planned in Nagold. With the Dynamics Center at the same location, Häfele will begin laying the foundation for technology and logistics excellence in a new dimension this year. The visionary construction project is a further commitment to the site and sets new standards in logistics and production. Construction of the futuristic new building to the south of the existing dispatch center at Wolfsberg in Nagold will start at the end of 2022, with a planned construction period of five years.
